Responsibilities
- Monitor & Detect: Continuously monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead or support the technical investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Threat Hunting: Conduct proactive threat hunting exercises to uncover hidden threats and malicious actors within the network.
- Compliance Management: Ensure all security measures align with industry standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Access Control: Manage and review user access permissions, ensuring the principle of least privilege is strictly enforced.
- Reporting: Generate detailed security reports for management and stakeholders to track incident trends and mitigation effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC GSEC is strongly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm, QRadar) and endpoint protection tools.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, firewalls, VPNs, and network architecture.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
