Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including malware analysis and root cause analysis.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure network architecture and infrastructure.
- Provide security awareness training to staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH are strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting security findings.
