Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with network engineering on hardening initiatives
- Lead incident response tabletop exercises and post-mortems
- Provide security awareness training to cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on cybersecurity experience with SOC operations
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Expertise in threat detection, incident response, and forensics
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
