Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement remediation measures
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure regulatory compliance
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security enhancements
- Provide security awareness training to employees to strengthen organizational defenses
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with threat intelligence frameworks and malware analysis
