Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Configure and manage firewalls, IPS/IDS, and network security appliances.
- Enforce corporate security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
- Document security incidents, trends, and remediation efforts for management reporting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a SOC, Security Operations Center, or Incident Response role.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP networking, OSI model, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) and Linux/Windows administration.
