Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activities
- Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry compliance requirements (e.g., NIST, CIS)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar role
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS systems
- Strong understanding of network protocols and Windows/Linux environments
- Experience with threat hunting and incident response methodologies
- Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
