Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise network traffic for security breaches and anomalies in real-time.
- Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents and alerts to minimize downtime.
- Develop and enforce robust security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to secure application architecture.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed incident reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cryptography.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and endpoint protection.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (Secret/Top Secret).
