Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and incident response for security breaches
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (policies, playbooks)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Manage security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR)
- Provide cybersecurity awareness training to employees
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity or IT security operations
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
