Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Monitoring: Continuously monitor security alerts and SIEM logs to identify, investigate, and respond to potential cyber threats and anomalies in real-time.
- Incident Response: Lead and coordinate the investigation and remediation of security breaches, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Network Security: Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and VPNs to ensure secure network architecture.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications before they are exploited.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications: Active certification such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or SANS GCFW is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), endpoint protection (e.g., CrowdStrike, Defender), and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell).
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
