Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Falcon) to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to strengthen organizational defenses.
- Respond to security incidents and manage the incident response lifecycle, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001) across all departments.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust firewalls, antivirus solutions, and intrusion prevention systems.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, VPNs, and network architecture.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure during security breaches.
