Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential breaches.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents, ensuring rapid containment and eradication.
- Manage firewall configurations and network security policies to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to implement secure coding practices and cloud security measures.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident response procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related technical role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
