Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on organizational networks
- Develop and implement security incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO frameworks
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Lead security awareness training sessions for employees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to prioritize critical incidents
- Valid Texas driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
