Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts to detect potential threats
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and develop mitigation strategies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Provide incident response support during security breaches and cyber attacks
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and compliance frameworks
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently with flexible schedules
- Effective communication skills for documenting incidents and presenting findings
