Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) in real-time to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident response coordination.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, and network security appliances to maintain a secure perimeter.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems before attackers do.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) across the organization.
- Collaborate with engineering and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network administration, or information security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency with endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, EDR) and threat intelligence platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex log data and visualize trends.
