Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events across the organization's network infrastructure using SIEM tools.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses before they are exploited.
- Manage and maintain firewall configurations and intrusion detection systems to ensure network integrity.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to comply with industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security measures into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Lead incident response efforts, conducting root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to prevent future breaches.
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and security technologies to recommend proactive defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity or information security role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VPNs, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency with security tools including SIEM (Splunk, SolarWinds), IDS/IPS, and antivirus solutions.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
