Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats using SIEM tools and EDR platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Analyze security logs and generate comprehensive threat intelligence reports
- Lead security awareness training for employees across the organization
- Manage security tool configurations including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access control systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys) and penetration testing
- Ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain government clearance
