Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring network traffic and security alerts for potential threats.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity protocols and firewalls.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing exercises.
- Document security incidents and participate in post-incident analysis.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to respond to and mitigate security breaches.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation strategies.
- Help maintain and update security policies and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness to obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+) during employment.
- A passion for learning and adapting to new security technologies.
