Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security alerts and anomalous network activity
- Document and escalate security incidents following NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Qualys tools
- Assist with penetration testing exercises and security awareness campaigns
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and patches
- Generate incident reports and maintain security documentation
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (rotational schedule)
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and networking basics
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced environments
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP and common protocols (HTTP, DNS, FTP)
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated on cyber threats
