Responsibilities
- Monitor system logs and security alerts (SIEM) to detect and respond to suspicious activities in real-time.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts to identify weak points in our infrastructure.
- Document security incidents, maintain incident response reports, and update technical procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT and Network Engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures.
- Support the compliance and governance team in preparing for audits and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of computer networks, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and protocols.
- Certifications: Eager to obtain industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or CCNA.
