Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and analyze potential threats using SIEM platforms
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate incident response logs
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
- Participate in security awareness training initiatives for employees
- Collaborate with the incident response team during security events
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence reports
- Support compliance audits and security policy implementations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Eagerness to learn cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration mindset
- CompTIA Security+ or similar certification is a plus
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 SOC coverage
