Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools.
- Conduct thorough incident investigations to identify the root cause of breaches and develop remediation strategies.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Conduct security awareness training and educate stakeholders on best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Network+.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and common security protocols.
- Proficiency in using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ArcSight, or Microsoft Sentinel).
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
