Responsibilities
- Monitor enterprise systems 24/7 for security breaches and anomalies using SIEM tools like Splunk or Azure Sentinel.
- Perform daily vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and forensic reporting.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and NIST standards.
- Collaborate with IT operations and software engineering to implement security controls.
- Conduct regular security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a cybersecurity or SOC environment.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
