Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events and alerts within the SIEM environment to detect potential cyber threats.
- Conduct daily vulnerability scans and risk assessments to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.
- Perform security audits and compliance checks (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST) to maintain organizational standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and configurations.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident response reports.
- Conduct security awareness training for staff members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience as a Cybersecurity Analyst or Security Operations Center (SOC) analyst.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, LogRhythm) and Threat Intelligence platforms.
- Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
