Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly security assessments to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Lead and participate in incident response efforts, including forensics analysis, containment strategies, and post-incident reporting.
- Manage and patch vulnerabilities across on-premise and cloud-based assets to reduce the attack surface.
- Collaborate with IT operations and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related IT role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, VPNs, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and log analysis.
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
