Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our elite team in Austin, TX. In this direct hire role, you will play a critical part in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and infrastructure. You will work closely with our Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor threats, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews to identify weaknesses.
- Manage and configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, and other security appliances to maintain network integrity.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents with a focus on minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal policies and external regulatory frameworks such as NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems, configure software, and mitigate identified risks.
- Document security procedures and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest threat landscape.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or network security environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, and common attack vectors (phishing, malware, DDoS).
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash for security automation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during incidents.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if applicable).
