Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools like Splunk or Sentinel.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities to identify system weaknesses.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, breaches, and malicious activities to minimize business impact.
- Configure, manage, and tune firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Develop, maintain, and update incident response plans and security policies.
- Collaborate with IT operations and engineering teams to ensure secure deployment of applications and infrastructure.
- Produce detailed security reports and metrics for executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Deep understanding of network security protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS) and architecture.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms, log analysis, and forensic investigation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud security best practices for AWS or Azure environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and troubleshoot security issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder reporting.
