Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct thorough incident response investigations and execute containment strategies to minimize business impact.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively secure networks and applications.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
- Generate and present detailed security reports and dashboards to management and stakeholders.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and mitigation techniques.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Proficiency in using security tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, and Splunk.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel for on-site security audits (if required).
