Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and investigate security alerts across enterprise networks
- Perform forensic analysis on security incidents and create detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate security gaps and implement patches
- Develop security documentation including playbooks and response procedures
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Stay current with emerging threats and threat intelligence feeds
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Experience with network protocols and intrusion detection systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
