Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate and remediate cybersecurity incidents with SLA-driven urgency
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop threat intelligence reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with red/blue teams on proactive defense strategies
- Document security protocols and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Lead incident response drills and tabletop exercises
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis or SOC operations
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (FireEye, Palo Alto)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) architecture
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell)
- Ability to work under pressure with daily deliverables
- Active NYS cybersecurity clearance preferred
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience
