Responsibilities
- Threat Detection & Response: Monitor SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) for suspicious activities and lead incident response efforts.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Security Operations: Manage firewall policies, VPN configurations, and access controls to ensure robust network defense.
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA regulations through regular audits and documentation.
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on security best practices and phishing awareness.
- Forensics: Analyze security breaches and provide post-incident reports and recommendations for remediation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations, or network security.
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SIEM tools, endpoint protection (EDR), and scripting (Python or PowerShell).
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure.
