Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the network.
- Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Investigate security breaches, perform digital forensics, and recommend remediation strategies.
- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (NIST, ISO, GDPR).
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to ensure secure software development and deployment.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees to mitigate social engineering risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of proven experience in cybersecurity or network security.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, and network protocols.
- Experience with SIEM platforms, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and identity management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
