Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM platforms to identify and mitigate potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity and resilience.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting.
- Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and other security infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation (e.g., NIST, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement secure coding practices and secure application deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or information security analysis.
- Active CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in using security tools such as Splunk, SIEM, and endpoint detection systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
