Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools like Splunk or ArcSight
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Implement and maintain firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Research emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in enterprise environments
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Snort, Wireshark, Nessus)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and zero-trust architectures
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written/verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
