Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to ensure system integrity.
- Respond to security incidents, including detection, analysis, containment, and eradication.
- Implement and manage security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., NIST, SOC2, HIPAA).
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to design secure software architectures.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GCFA.
- Strong knowledge of SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) and log analysis.
- Experience with network security devices and protocols (e.g., VPN, IPSec, TLS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
