Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems, firewalls, and intrusion detection platforms
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement remediation actions
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and incident response plans
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security measures align with business objectives
- Stay current on emerging threats and technologies through continuous research
- Manage security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and architectures
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation platforms
- Industry certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, or CompTIA Security+)
- Experience with incident response frameworks and threat intelligence platforms
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
