Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM tools and threat intelligence platforms
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security protocols for network infrastructure and cloud environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry regulations
- Document security incidents, mitigation strategies, and ongoing security improvements
- Provide incident response leadership during security breaches and cyberattacks
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, or CEH preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation frameworks
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), and threat vectors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and communicate complex security concepts to stakeholders
