Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents, documenting findings and implementing remediation actions
- Develop and execute penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in network systems and applications
- Create and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST and ISO 27001 standards
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence to proactively enhance security posture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity analysis or incident response
- Strong proficiency with SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and security automation tools
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
- Expert knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize critical security events
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder updates
