Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Response: Analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate potential breaches in real-time.
- Incident Management: Lead or support the investigation, containment, and eradication of cybersecurity incidents using established playbooks.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network architecture.
- Security Architecture: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement secure network configurations and access controls.
- Compliance & Policy: Ensure adherence to internal security policies and external regulatory standards (NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
- Security Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on phishing, social engineering, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a SOC, IR, or general security role.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions (e.g., CrowdStrike, SentinelOne).
- Scripting: Ability to write scripts in Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and executive leadership.
