Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential threats
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents and develop mitigation strategies
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and GDPR standards
- Document security procedures and create incident response playbooks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotation support for critical security events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with SOC/NOC experience
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and security automation
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and zero-trust architecture
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize threats during high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR)
- Remote work experience with proven self-management capabilities
