Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and prioritize incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls for cloud/on-premise environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Document security incidents and provide actionable threat intelligence reports
- Lead forensic investigations during security breaches and coordinate remediation efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, AlienVault)
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 security operations environment
