Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and investigate potential security incidents
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Document security incidents, response actions, and remediation procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze malware and threat intelligence to enhance detection capabilities
- Ensure compliance with NIST, PCI-DSS, and industry-specific regulations
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Certification in CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC preferred
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (MISP, Recorded Future)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating security operations center environment
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
