Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and respond to potential breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify security weaknesses.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Enforce security policies and compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, networking protocols, and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Experience with incident response frameworks and forensic analysis.
