Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Document security incidents, forensic analysis, and remediation procedures
- Develop security awareness training for employees across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and security automation tools
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, Windows/Linux systems, and cloud architectures
- Experience with incident response protocols and forensic investigation tools
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
