Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and potential breaches
- Conduct threat hunting, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation measures
- Stay current with emerging threats, attack vectors, and defensive technologies
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and endpoint security platforms
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., CrowdStrike, Darktrace)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting incidents and reporting
