Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM systems and security alerts to detect and respond to incidents in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across network infrastructure
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend remediation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with HIPAA/GDPR/regulatory requirements
- Document security procedures and maintain incident response playbooks
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and endpoint protection
- Security certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work independently with flexible hours
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
