Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, Sentinel) to identify and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents, root cause analysis, and document detailed incident reports.
- Implement, configure, and maintain security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus solutions.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and recommend remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, such as SOC 2, HIPAA, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or network security.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and common attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using security tools and scripting languages (Python or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
