Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and real-time threat detection
- Lead incident response investigations, documenting forensic evidence and remediation actions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across enterprise systems
- Develop and maintain security policies aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS frameworks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement zero-trust architecture and endpoint security solutions
- Generate executive security reports and KPI dashboards for stakeholder communication
- Stay current on emerging threats through threat intelligence feeds and industry research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations with hands-on incident response experience
- Expertise in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex security events
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Valid California driver's license for occasional on-site requirements
