Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity and trigger incident response protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and risk assessments
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Analyze malware and advanced persistent threats to enhance defense mechanisms
- Provide security awareness training to employees and stakeholders
- Manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance regulations
- Experience with incident response procedures and forensic analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel occasionally
