Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Develop and maintain security documentation including policies, procedures, and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze security trends and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
