Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze threat intelligence and emerging cyber trends to proactively mitigate risks
- Manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Lead incident response investigations including root cause analysis and remediation
- Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS regulatory frameworks
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in a SOC or similar environment
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap, Nessus)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and SaaS platforms
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Windows/Linux systems
- Ability to create detailed security reports for executive stakeholders
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
- Valid U.S. government security clearance preferred
